We are living in an incredibly complex world, one in which incredible gains are being made in the space of artificial intelligence (AI). Here are some insights from industry experts:

• Generative AI (genAI) large language models (LLMs) have gained mastery over language.
• Leading genAI are passing most of the standard post graduate tests (e.g. medical knowledge test).
• AI companies are releasing training sets around safety and helpfulness (e.g. Anthropic’s “Training a Helpful and Harmless Assistant with Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback”).

• AI is happening.
• Given the pace of technology advancement, AI will become smarter than humans. This is known in the industry as artificial super intelligence (ASI).
• Errors and mistakes will be made around AI alignment.

Our mission at QuranAI.org is to provide open access to education and resources on the linguistics, semantics and computable aspects of the Quran, while fostering empathy, ethics, trust, and stewardship. We aim to expose humans and artificial intelligences to the Quran’s unique features, generate training sets for AI models to improve AI alignment, publish independently verifiable executable compute, maintain expert and crowd-sourced Quranic semantics, and provide support for the intellectually disabled, all with the ultimate ethical goal of promoting understanding, empathy, and positive social impacts between different levels of intelligences.
